Inside each apartment, you’ll discover features like granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, contemporary wood-style cabinetry, designer finishes, walk-in closets, and more.
Veterans Day, a federal holiday commemorating people who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Expect various closures related to the holiday. A celebration honoring military personnel took place over the weekend at Fluor Field.
Closing
Velo Fellow will close the week of Dec. 8 after ~14 years in business. The pub cited rising rent and the increase in liability insurance as its reasons to not renew its lease at the end of the year.
No. 23. That’s where the Gamecocks landed on the AP Top 25, their first ranking since 2022. The Clemson Tigers are also up to No. 17. There are only 19 days until the Palmetto Bowl, and if both teams remain in the Top 25, it will be the first time they play each other ranked since 2013.
Development
The City of Greenville’s Planning Commission “unanimously approved some minor conditions” for Southernside Senior I — a 93-apartment, age-restricted development just steps from Unity Park. The complex will house residents who make 60% or less of the area median income + renters would pay 30% of their monthly income for the housing. (The Post and Courier Greenville)
Health
Prisma Health unveiled plans for a $138 million behavioral health hospital in Pickens County that will “address the rising need for behavioral health services in the Upstate.” The non-profit healthcare system says there has been a steady increase in patients admitted for psychiatric treatment in our region over the past six years. Eat
We have a little secret. One of City Editor Danielle’s favorite pop-ups, Little Secret, will serve breakfast at Junto Coffee (at Taylors Mill) every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting Friday, Nov. 22.
Active
Tonight is the last Greenville Run Club of 2024. If you’d like to attend, meet at Papi’s Tacos at 6 p.m. for a downtown run — BYO glow sticks and flashlights. There will be military-style workout activities + brands popping up, plus 10% of Papi’s proceeds from the night will benefit Upstate Warrior Solutions in honor of Veterans Day.
