“This year we are excited to increase the revenue percentages that go back to the restaurants,” City of Greenville Tourism Administrator Anna Catherine Miller told us. “All of the restaurants participating will be able to take more money home with them this year to help offset any of the costs that they incurred due to Hurricane Helene.”

Local Honey Coffee Co. is now open at The People’s Tap. Stop by for your cup (or cups) of joe from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the taproom opens at 4 p.m.

Speaking of pop-up coffee shops settling down, The Purple Cup Coffee was previously a pop-up, but it will soon be a permanent fixture inside Southernside Brewing Co. when it opens on Monday, Nov. 11. The shop will open in the brewery at 7:30 a.m. and close at 1 p.m.

There are more holiday honors to talk about. Greenville’s Poinsettia Christmas Parade is nominated for USA TODAY 10Best’s Best Holiday Parade. It’s up against the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, so it needs your vote. Vote once per day until Monday, Dec. 2 at 12 p.m.

Lace up your sneakers. The City of Greenville has a new walking club meeting at Unity Park on Tuesdays in November. The group will start at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at 9 a.m.

Fall for Greenville holds a special place in my heart. When I started dating my now-husband as USC students, he asked me to come to the festival, experience his city, and meet his family. It was my first visit to Greenville, and I am so thankful it wasn’t my last.
