We have some a-glaze-ing news.Scout’s Doughnuts is growing again, adding a Main Street location later this month. On Fridays + Saturdays, you’ll be able to swing by the Scout’s window at 2 N. Main St. (the same area of the Chick-fil-A window) for one of Greenville’s favorite treats.
After years of research and development to make the perfect cronut (think: croissant donuts), the fan-favorite shop started distributing to coffee shops and businesses around Greenville in 2022. In 2023, they opened a storefront in Overbrook + expanded it to include a cafe earlier this year. The shop also expanded to Anderson this year in partnership with the Run In store.
Keep an eye on Scout’s Doughnuts on social media for an official opening date. Until then, curb your Scout’s craving by:

How virtual learning can set your high schooler up for success

Heron Virtual Academy offers students exceptional opportunities for growth as the only virtual school in the state to collaborate with Jobs for America’s Graduates. | Photos by Heron Virtual Academy of South Carolina
At Heron Virtual Academy of South Carolina, students like Brianna are proof that online learning can lead to success. After a difficult freshman year in her previous brick-and-mortar school, Brianna switched to Heron.
The tuition-free, online public school for grades 8-12 introduced her to Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG), a program that provides support to students who are at risk of dropping out.
Heron is the only virtual school in the state that works with the national program. Brianna thrived, and went on to win the Governor’s Award at the 2024 SC JAG Conference.
“I made a complete 180-degree turn with my grades, attendance, and everything,” Brianna said. "[The] teachers were so nice and helpful. [I have] a level of support at Heron I’ve never had before.”

It’s no secret BridgeWay Station brings a taste of Italy to the Upstate, but its newest restaurant takes that Italian influence to the next level. Tavola — Table 301’s first concept outside of Downtown Greenville — will open Tuesday, Sept. 24.
“It’s an invitation for everyone to come together,” said Table 301 Creative Director Katie Thompson, who had a heavy hand in designing the second-floor space above Bridgeway Brewing.
As you step inside, no detail was missed, from the brick, wood, and marble accents to the wine walls stocked with bottles surrounding you as you dine. Plus, coming soon, a Tuscan wine window.

I love Tavola already, but I can’t wait for the wine window to open. It won’t be available all the time, but when it is, you’ll find me ringing the bell and sipping on whatever red they’re passing out the window.
