✈️ GSP is so fly

Traveling via plane is fun — jet-setting over beautiful blue waters or rolling hills, taking in cloud formations, and landing in a completely different location in a matter of hours is unlike anything else.

The whole navigating the airport part? Less exciting, and sometimes pretty stressful. To help make your time at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) as smooth as possible, we’ve created a guide that covers everything from parking to details on the airport’s nonstop flights to 22 US destinations.

What to know

  • TSA | On average, it takes ~17 minutes to get through.
  • Map it out | If you’re like us and need to completely visualize a place before you step foot inside, this map of the entire airport will be your saving grace.
  • Food and drink | Grab a glass of wine and wood-fired pizza at The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck or take a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to go before you board your flight.
  • Flight status | While we recommend staying updated via your respective airline, you can also check the airport’s dashboard for your flight status in a pinch.
  • Hang out | Enjoy some fresh air and mountain views in the Airside Garden, observe the work of local artists in the Connections Gallery, or get to work in the Escape Pods.
Pro tip: Read about GSP’s roadway improvement project, TRIP, to learn about upcoming changes traveling in and out of the airport and click the button below for what you need to know about airport parking and transportation.

Meet Vaughn’s Warehouse Food Hall. The popular Simpsonville gathering spot is under new ownership, and with it are some changes.

Ordering made easy

You can now place orders at all of the food hall vendors from the comfort of your table. Just scan the QR code on your table to get started.

More seating

The Anchor — which used to be a full-service, sit-down vendor — is now open seating, which means there are even more tables for you to enjoy your food.

Let’s talk food

You’ll see new menu items at Humble Pie, The Anchor, The Grub Box, and Bourbon Street Burgers (which isn’t linked to the other Bourbon Street locations anymore). Many of your favorite items are still available, plus there are new bites to try. Pro tip: The cheese curds with hot honey at The Grub Box are City Editor Danielle’s favorite.

The Buy

Jenni Earle Bandanas. Try a new trend this spring with these bandanas – perfect to tie around your neck, hair, or handbag.

Last night I went to my first Books Over Drinks at M. Judson and it was delightful. How lucky are we to have such a great book store that organizes events like this?
