Our favorite fall treats in Greenville

If you’re like us, you’re ready to live your best fall life as soon as the weather is below 80 degrees, so we put together a roundup of some fall treats to put you on the right pumpkin path.

Food

Waffle Drop, 1320 Hampton Ave., Ste. 204 | This fall treat won’t officially hit the menu until Tuesday, Sept. 26, but the teaser photo of a pumpkin waffle with sliced green apples and ice cream has us drooling.

Clare’s Creamery, Multiple locations | Grab a scoop (or three) of pumpkin pie or pumpkin spice latte ice cream.

Hester General Store, 1735 Hester Store Rd., Easley | Try this: Apple caramel pie featuring NC farm-grown apples, sweet cream caramel, and a brown sugar cookie crumble.

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar, 942 S. Main St. | Crazy Mason has multiple fall-themed creations, but our go-to is the pumpkin spice shake with pumpkin ice cream + a frosted vanilla rim. Pro tip: It’s only available until Saturday, Sept. 30.

Drinks

Barista Alley, 101 Trade St., Greer | Featuring several fall-themed drinks like a cookie butter chai + a cinnamon stick latte, we can’t help falling in love.

Cohesive Coffee, 301 Airport Rd., Ste. 1 | Try this: Apple Bottom Jeans with locally made sweet cream paired with housemade apple syrup. As Cohesive says, boots with the fur not included.

Royal Coffee Bar, 2551 N. Pleasantburg Dr. | Iced pumpkin macchiato? More like nice-d pumpkin macchiato.

Summer Moon, Multiple locations | We heard from reader Ashley J. who did some grueling research for us, and she said Summer Moon’s autumn moon iced latte is “the best pumpkin-spiceflavored iced latte” in town.

Tell us Greenville, what’s your favorite fall treat?

The parking lot at the intersection of Main and Broad streets downtown is officially for sale. In the image above, only the grey area totaling 1.038 AC is for sale. The orange area can be made available totaling the 1.583 AC site.

Known as the “epicenter of downtown,” this ~1.5 acre lot’s primary owners are the Sawyer + McElveen families. According to deeds for the land, these families registered their LLCs at this address.

Author Tammy Conits, restaurateur Carl Sobocinski, and Greenville business-woman Vivian Wong, also own portions of the lot.

According to CBRE, bidding will begin mid-October. Although no official asking price has been set, Bo Aughtry, chairman of the Windsor Aughtry development company, said he would expect the property to trade above $200 per sqft, or ~$9 million per acre.

Aughtry says it is “unfortunate” that this lot is undeveloped and it “shows a tremendous opportunity to do something great” in our community.
