Danielle here. It’s one of my favorite weeks of the year: Restaurant Week South Carolina. I have reservations lined up at local eateries to get a taste of what our local chefs have to offer. We shared five Restaurant Week features we’re excited to try, but there’s more where that came from. Check out the full line-up, peep the menus, and start securing your tables.

A love letter to Greenville 💌

33 years ago, Joan Herlong of Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty and her husband were newcomers to GVL (with two preschoolers and an infant), when it was filled more with possibility + potential than it was “popular.”

Today, here’s what she loves about GVL:
  • There is more than one downtown in Greenville County.
  • You can be “deep in the forest” in less than 20 miles from Main Street.
  • We are a Southern community with an amazing international feel.
  • Greenville is making new history every day.
  • The traffic isn’t as bad as we think.

EXPLORE GREENVILLE

ICYMI
  • Greenville City Council had a packed agenda this week. They approved Woven, a multi-use development coming to The Village of West Greenville, and unanimously approved a first reading of new district maps, with a second and final vote on the maps expected later this month.
Drink
  • Sometimes you’re looking for a craft beverage sans alcohol. From completely unique offerings using ingredients behind the bar to spirit-less classics like a nonalcoholic old fashioned and a no-jito, we’ve crafted a list with 30+ drinks you can sip in Greenville to help support your Dry January goals.
Eat
  • We’re still thinking about the Daylight Burrito we ate last Saturday and can’t wait for them to pop up at Grateful Brew this Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8:30 a.m. Have a favorite Greenville pop up? We want to try it.
