Ready, set, give. Today is YMCA of Greenville’s annual Day of Giving , a one-day event that provides an opportunity to help support local YMCAs, which help support local communities. This year’s goal: Raise $202,300 to provide financial assistance for children and adults in need.
During last year’s event, $187,000+ was raised thanks to nearly 800 donors. This year, the goal is to grow that number, so the Y can provide even more financial assistance and fund the Y Food Program, which serves hundreds of school children and families every week.
Other programs Greenvillians can help support include:
- Preschool and Afterschool care at the YMCA Judson Community Center
- SC Youth In Government , youth sports , and swim lessons
- YMCA Camp Greenville
- The RECESS program for adults with diverse abilities
- LiveSTRONG at the YMCA for cancer survivors
All donations stay within the YMCA of Greenville Association. To support our local Y, text GIVING to 71777 or donate through the website . Let’s get giving, GVL.*
