According to Vogue, needlepoint is having a “modern-day renaissance,” with Etsy reporting that searches for “beginner needlepoint items” are up 208% year-over-year. Whether you’re an experienced stitcher or you’re picking up a new hobby, here’s where to find supplies and support near Greenville. Needlepoint & Co. | Opening Saturday, Feb. 28, this shop promises to be “your new home for canvases, fibers, mahjong, and community.”
The Needle Tree | Since 1992, this local shop has been selling high-end yarns and hand-painted canvases — plus, they love teaching beginners one-on-one for free.
Cottage Grove Vintage Market | Though not a dedicated needlepoint store, this shop features needlepoint canvases and kits for purchase.
Marquin Campbell | This Greenville artist has quite the following in the Needlepoint community, and you can shop her canvases online.
The Church Street Bridge will temporarily reopen Thursday, March 5 ahead of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament and March Madness at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Drivers should expect potholes and rough pavement as work continues. A full closure returns Friday, May 1 through Friday, June 12 for final repairs and paving.

First appointed in 1996, Hawley has overseen thousands of cases and led major upgrades, including digitized records and online systems. The Milan Cortina Winter Olympics are coming to a close, and before you tune in to the Olympic Winter Games Closing Ceremony this Sunday — with live coverage starting at 2:30 p.m. on WYFF 4 and simulcast on Peacock — I’m highlighting the hyperlocal coverage that got me in the spirit over the past couple of weeks:
A set of shower steamers with 11 unique scents like jasmine, chamomile, lavender, and mint. The variety lets you tailor the experience to your mood: a relaxing spa night, a midday pick-me-up, or an energizing morning reset. Bonus: They make great gifts.
This was Marquin Campbell’s month to host the Upstate Stitchers meeting, and she organized an epic galentines stitching event — renting out a movie theater to watch “Steel Magnolias” as the club worked on their current projects. I don’t needlepoint, but I have FOMO. Follow Upstate Stitchers if you’re looking to find community in crafting.
