Well this evening stroll turned out to be a hoot. | Photo by Lily Boller
Imagine strolling through Falls Park and coming face-to-face with an owl perched on the Liberty Bridge. That happened to Antoinette Boller and her daughter Lily Boller — who snapped the photo — on Friday, January 23.
I’ll be honest, my brain immediately jumped to AI. There’s no way, right? Antoinette assures us — it’s real.
Based on my research, it looks like a barred owl because it lacks ear tufts, has a round head with dark eyes, and has vertical brown-and-white barring on the chest. I’m no ornithologist (a person who studies birds),so please reply to this email if you’re an expert and I’m wrong.
