Professional Imaging Day, held exclusively twice a year for Greenville Technical College’s School of Business & Computer Technology (BCT) students, offers a powerful real-world learning experience. The event brings local business professionals to campus each semester to engage with students through industry panel discussions, networking practice, and mock interviews that provide meaningful feedback on essential soft skills.
We observed students step confidently into mock interviews — transforming nervous energy into polished professionalism — a clear example of how BCT prepares learners for life after graduation.
Greenville Tech’s BCT school offers programs in:
Accounting
Marketing
Supply Chain Management
Management
Operations Management
Administrative Office Technology
Computer Technology (including cybersecurity, analytics, programming, and more)
Whether a recent graduate, career advancer, or someone seeking a change, opportunities are abundant.

We already knew Clare’s Creamery is the best, but now there’s proof. The shop was named the Grand Master Ice Cream Maker at the Ice Cream Association’s annual ConeCon, also taking home two first place blue ribbons for their chocolate and strawberry flavors and a second place red ribbon for their honey vanilla.

If you were disappointed that the cold rain never brought the snow we saw in our weather apps, we have some good news. Gather is making it a white Christmas every Thursday through Saturday at 6 p.m.

Your next favorite restaurant starts here
You’ll find Hone at 12 Lois Ave. | Photo via Hone
Aspiring and current restaurateurs will soon have a new way to develop their skills, test business ideas, and be mentored by some of Greenville’s most successful chefs and business owners. Hone — a new restaurant incubator from restaurateur John Ko and Mill Village Ministries — will open in the Village of West Greenville (in the former Driftwood space).
“Opening a restaurant is high-risk and expensive,” a post announcing the concept explained. “Hone gives chefs a place to test ideas without financial and operational barriers, helping them build a stronger foundation before opening their own space.”
For foodies, the space will host rotating breakfast, lunch, and dinner services from local chefs that change every few months, and it will also serve as a space for pop-ups. It looks like Coffee Coffee could be among the first residents. For the entrepreneurs, it will offer workshops, expert insights, and support from industry professionals. Maybe Greenville’s next Michelin Star spot will start in the purple building.
The Buy
Three viral products that are actually worth paying attention to:
☕ A JavaSok — aka an insulated neoprene sleeve for your favorite iced drinks. The widely popular product is an Amazon bestseller + one of the top gifts of the season. Bonus: Discover Soks for cans, water bottles, ice cream pints, and more.
🥘 The StoveShelf — as seen in Business Insider and Food & Wine. It’s a high-quality magnetic attachment for your stovetop that stores frequently used items like spices, condiments, and cooking oils.
🐻 Something that’s on every teenager’s holiday wishlist: the viral Starbucks Bearista bear cup. If you couldn’t get your hands on the original (they sold out within minutes), we found the perfect look-alike on Amazon.
I set out to enter this year’s gingerbread competition in the home baker category, and I failed — miserably. I’m viewing the 2025 entries through new eyes, and they’re far more impressive now that I know just how hard it is to pull off a display like this. Maybe I’ll figure it out for next year?
