Development
Plans for an affordable housing project in Sans Souci are officially moving forward. The Greenville County Redevelopment Authority will build three duplexes (six rental units) and five single-family homes on Morris Street as part of a two-phased development. (The Post and Courier Greenville)
Today’s feature is far from a mansion, with only two bedrooms and three bathrooms, but location, location, location. Located in the historic Park Place on Main, circa 1919, this condo features a private elevator, bedrooms overlooking a courtyard, and the rare opportunity to live in the heart of downtown overlooking Main Street.
Plan Ahead

What better way to celebrate than with a look inside the Duke’s Mayo factory, located on Main Street in Mauldin? Some rumors are circulating that Duke’s is no longer made here, and while the brand’s parent company was acquired earlier this year, production has remained unchanged.
“There is no manufacturing facility that can absorb what we do at this time,” plant manager Daniel Moore reassured me. “We’re very proud of our recipe. We’re very proud to be right here in Mauldin, SC, and from right here in Greenville, SC.”
The facility on Main Street in Mauldin produces approximately 1.1 million pounds of condiments daily. It’s primarily mayo, but they also make salad dressings, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, relish, and more.
I thought I knew all there was to know about trailblazer Eugenia Duke and her mayo empire, but I learned a lot.
