Come hungry — they don’t stop roasting until you’re full or the clock strikes 4 p.m. | Video by GVLtoday
Oh shucks. It’s one of my favorite things about the cooler weather: Oyster roasts are back. The Jones Oyster Co.'s first monthly roast of the year is this Sunday, Oct. 26 — rescheduled from last weekend.
From 2 to 4 p.m., grab your friends, gather round the big wooden tables, and get to shucking. Whether you top it with lemon juice, hot sauce, or shoot it straight, it’s all-you-can-eat oysters. Plus, enjoy lite bites (think: hushpuppies and fish dip), an open bar with beer and wine, and live music.

There’s never a bad time for a Jones Oyster Roast, but my favorites are in the winter months when it’s cold, cold. Last year, they even had a fire pit with a s’mores station, mulled wine, and — of course — hot, steamy oysters.
