Tomorrow, Oct. 15, from 5–7 p.m., the Life Center YMCA at Prisma Health will host a special event marking one year since the Y took over fitness operations at this state-of-the-art facility — and it’s all about community, health, and fun.
A year of growth and innovation
The partnership between the YMCA of Greenville and Prisma Health has been improving health in the community for years, providing safe spaces, evidence-based health programs, and innovative wellness opportunities for families and individuals. Since last fall, the Life Center has seen exciting upgrades, including new fitness equipment and expanded programs that meet every interest and need.
The partnership has resulted in the expansion of fitness programs and infrastructure upgrades.

Programs for everyone
Over the past year, the center has welcomed thousands of members, offering nearly 90 group classes a month, including:
Silver Sneakers
Yoga, Stretch & Balance
Les Mills Body Pump
Plus, there are now 12 exceptional highly credentialed personal trainers on staff and hundreds of members are enjoying the eGym smart circuit.
Programs like Exercise is Medicine Greenville, Path to Success, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, Childwatch, swim lessons, and Splash Day, have made wellness more accessible and engaging than ever.
Prisma Health also continues to manage vital medical programs, including Heartlife cardio/pulmonary rehab, Moving On for cancer survivors, and diabetes support.
Join the celebration
The celebration event kicks off with a short program at 6 p.m., featuring Y and Prisma leaders and physicians sharing milestones and successes. This is a public event, and everyone is encouraged to join — whether you’re already a member or just curious about the Y.
Come see what all the buzz is about, celebrate a year of community wellness, and maybe even find your next favorite class.
Plus, there’s no joining fee at YMCA of Greenville locations through the end of Oct. Join the Y, join the fun, and take a step toward a healthier you.

I cover a lot of developments, and I genuinely get excited about many things, but I think the updates to Bon Secours Wellness Arena are at the very top of my list. I need a downtown outdoor amphitheatre... yesterday. Click the photo to read my full article, which breaks down the plans.
