News Notes

Announced

Little Secret is going from pop-up to permanent, taking over Comal 864’s original Woodside location in early 2026. Expect bold pan-Asian flavors, cocktails, and New Orleans-inspired desserts. Comal 864 will serve its last meal there Nov. 29 — after the annual Thanksgiving community meal — shifting its focus to its Midtown location. (Greenville Journal)

Number

50,000. That’s how many commercial trucks Isuzu plans to roll out each year from its new $280 million assembly plant in Piedmont. The facility, slated to open in 2027, will employ 700+ people and marks Isuzu’s first wholly owned US production base. (The Post and Courier Greenville)

Eat

Augusta Street Market is now serving bagel sandwiches, baked in-house by Ben Snyder (formerly of Lumineux Chocolate). Snyder spent a month perfecting the recipe, drawing on New York traditions and plenty of trial and error. Will it go viral like the shop’s chicken Caesar wrap?

BMW is recalling nearly a million vehicles — many built in Spartanburg — over faulty water pumps and starters tied to car fires. The recall impacts X models and others from 2012 to 2021. Owners can check their VIN for updates. (The Post and Courier Greenville)

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Danielle

I just had Little Secret at Wine House on Wednesday night, and it was a Sake-filled celebration ahead of the big news. My favorite bites were the shrimp and pork dumplings with a saffron miso broth and the salmon sashimi crudo with a dashi broth, probably because both of those broths were soup-erior.

Chef Conner Hinderks tells me he’s a big soup fan and is excited soup season is on the horizon — so here’s to hoping you get to try his cozy dishes as it cools down.
