This was an unforgettable “Wagon Wheel” performance. | Video by GVLtoday

I’m still drying off from the Mumford & Sons concert at CCNB Amphiheatre on Monday night. Before it started, when my rain boots were sinking into the mud, I wasn’t sure if there was any concert worth being that cold and damp.

However, when we got to the “revival” part of the Railroad Revival Tour, I was blown away by the level of musical talent on that stage, and it was well worth it. I mean, you had Maggie Rogers harmonizing with a tambourine in hand while Darius Rucker and Ketch Secor (of Old Crow Medicine Show) sang “Wagon Wheel” with Mumford & Sons as the house band — which about sums the night up.

For more nights that hit like this one, bookmark our City Guide filled with upcoming concerts. Personally, I’m really looking forward to James Taylor.

Pop the popcorn. A rooftop cinema could become part of County Square.

Greenville’s Board of Zoning Appeals will review plans for a Rooftop Cinema Club atop the County Square parking garage, part of the ongoing redevelopment along University Ridge. The theater would show classics and fan favorites daily, with screenings running until 2 a.m. — pending approval at the Thursday, Aug. 14 meeting.

On the menu: Movie staples like popcorn and nachos, bigger bites like burgers, and themed cocktails like a “Great Gatsby” espresso martini + a “Tropical Thunder” Piña Colada.

The Wrap

Another sign that fall is around the corner: Greenville’s Moonlight Movies lineup drops tomorrow, Aug. 7. Based on a clue in this post, I think late Upstate icon Chadwick Boseman could be gracing the Falls Park screen this year.

Moonlight Movies features free flicks in Falls Park every Thursday in September and October. We’ll share the lineup with you Thursday morning.
