That’s how much Greenville County Schools plans to spend on projects, including $17.1 million to renovate its headquarters, $108 million for a new Bryson Middle School, $105 to convert Fountain Inn Elementary to a K-8 school, $28 million to expand Ralph Chandler Middle + $14 million for a new Food and Nutrition services center. Development

Broadstreet Partners plans to replace a surface lot on McBee near Yee-Haw and Publix with a four-story office building featuring 12,000 sqft of office space + a 1,500-sqft rooftop “amenity.” The project heads to Greenville’s Design Review Board in August. (The Post and Courier Greenville)

The Saluda Grade Trail coalition has officially purchased the Saluda Grade Railroad to create a new 31.5-mile rail trail from the Upstate into Western NC.

Next steps include working with communities on design and planning + raising millions of dollars for construction.

If you want to learn more about the project, planners will host an event on Thursday, July 3, in Downtown Tryon, NC (~1 hour from Greenville), sharing the story of the trail and the vision for the future.
