“The dream is to create an artist community in Greenville that’s really centered around local artists,” Smith told us. “We feel like, with the growth of Greenville, and particularly in the creative arts scene, the timing was prime.”

An Atlanta-based real estate firm bought a 173,000-sqft distribution center in Greenville. Atlanta Property Group will invest $100 million of equity in its branches in Atlanta, Charlotte, Greenville, Savannah, Nashville, Raleigh, and central Florida by the end of the year. $8.7 million. That’s how much Upstate Forever’s Generations Campaign raised during its ForeverGreen Awards last week. The local nonprofit, focused on land conservation in the Upstate, said the two-year campaign beat their goal by 25%, and the funds will be used to further conservation and advocacy efforts.
