Eugenia Duke Bridge — located behind the Peace Center — has reopened for the weekend. The bridge will close once more starting on Monday, July 29 and remain closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 2.
Biz
Venture Carolina recently announced Upstate Upstarts, a list that will increase the visibility of early-stage tech companies in the Upstate. A new Upstate Upstarts fund through Venture Carolina + other partners will allow investors to help fund the companies on the list.
Eat
The inaugural Lewis Hatch Chile Roast plans to spice up the city on Sunday, Aug. 25. Lewis Barbecue will bring in more than 3,000 pounds of fresh Hatch chiles for the event that will feature food, drinks, live music, and a kiddie corral.
Real Estate
A community sports pavilion and 12 homesites are planned for The Cliffs’ Mountain Park community. The homesites will range from 1.19 to 4.25 acres and start at ~$300,000. The pavilion will include a dog park + tennis and pickleball courts. (Upstate Business Journal)
Closing
Bossy Bakers will be closing its doors in October. Kava Konnection plans to expand into the space, and as of now, there are no plans for Bossy Bakers to continue services elsewhere.
Opening
