Cheers — Drink Up Week is here. | Photo via GVLtoday
Drink Up Week is finally here, and we have a feeling it’ll be the toast of the town.
Here’s the tea — today through Friday, July 26, we’re celebrating the entrepreneurs, mixologists, venues, and beverages that make Greenville go ‘round.
As you know, we’ve created an interactive map of can’t-miss deals offered by local businesses in Greenville. Here are the top deals our GVLtoday editors have their eyes on — and what they plan to pair with these drinks.
City Editor Danielle recommends stopping by Curean to snag a Drink Up Week deal. This is the perfect spot for a date night with your partner or a meetup with your friends. In addition to a wide selection of wines + craft cocktails, Chef Austyn’s food is some of the best in our city. Pro tip: Don’t forget to wear pink on Wednesday for a half-price cocktail called “Wednesdays we wear pink.”
City Editor Stephanie is on a health journey and hasn’t been drinking alcohol as much, so she’s looking forward to 50% off mocktails at Carmella’s Café & Dessert Bar. It’s very possible she’ll also grab an Italian Sandwich and eat it while longingly looking at the geese in the Reedy River.
We hope you enjoy sipping your way through our city this week. Cheers to you and happy Drink Up Week, Greenvillians.

Can you imagine better beer packaging? | Photo via @thomascreekbeer
Greenville makes a lot of great craft beer. Local brewers are constantly tapping their creative juices to drum up crafty collaborations, standout recipes, and fun names for their frothy masterpieces.
We’re raising a glass to a few Greenville-centric brews with names that draw inspiration from our city’s history, communities, and culture.
OG’ville, Thomas Creek Brewery We’re just as obsessed with this beer’s beautiful can as we are its taste. Featuring an image of the Liberty Bridge over the Reedy River, we can’t help but think that the can would make a great piece of decor — and not just for college students.
Style + flavor: A citrus forward, 6.8% ABV hazy New England IPA, this brew also features a slightly tropical flavor.
Rallyville Lager, New Realm Brewing The official craft beer of the Greenville Drive was “crafted to bring our community together in celebration.”
Style + flavor: This 4.5% ABV, golden amber Vienna-style lager is made with malts, hops, and Atlanta water.
Your favorite find from our list of home goods on sale in Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. Hint: think $200 off Le Creuset cookware + $50 off Sijo Eucalyptus sheets.
Personally, I’m intrigued by the Drink Up Week deals at Blockhouse, where each bartender has created a unique $8 drink special. As a former orange soda kid, I’m eyeing the “Whitley-Coconut Orange Soda” — Rumhaven coconut rum, agave, orange juice, and soda water.
