The countdown for camp is on, GVL. Registration is open for Summer Day Camp at the YMCA, happening June 3-July 29.
Whether your kid or teen enjoys sports, arts and science, dance, swimming, or a full-day camp experience, the YMCA of Greenville is ready to help your kids have the best summer ever, offering different specialty camps and enrichment experiences at several locations across Greenville County.
This day camp experience combines a little bit of everything.
Valentine’s Couples Acrylic Pouring | Friday, Feb. 16 | 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Vino & Van Gogh, 1818 Augusta St., Ste. 112, Greenville | $50 | You and your date or friend each get a canvas to create two paintings that can be hung together or separately.

The Bake Room — located in The Common’s beside Methodical Coffee — will be closing. No official closing date has been announced.

Plan Ahead
Who turned the lights out? For the first time since 2017 the Upstate will have front row seats to a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse will peak around 3:09 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 when more than eighty percent of the sun is blocked out by the moon. We won’t see another eclipse event until 2044. Drink
Fireforge Crafted Beer participated in the South Carolina Brewers Guild’s SC Brewers Cup + brought home the gold with its Spirito Santo winning Best IPA. This ceremony recognizes the best beers in the state. Sip, sip, hooray.
Film
Bike Walk Greenville is partnering with the Greenville County Library System for a free screening of The Engine Inside at Hughes Main Library on Thursday, Feb, 29 at 6:00 p.m. You can meet up with fellow viewers at Cook’s Station before or after for a social hour.

Check the corner of E. Stone Ave. + E. North St. for Cup-i-Coffee, — a new coffee shop with blended cold drinks, cold brew, + drinks for kids.
Kids
The Upstate Governor’s School For Science and Mathematics is partnering with the South Carolina Technical College System to host several four-day summer camps for middle schoolers at technical school around the Upstate. The camps will focus on science, tech, engineering, and math (STEM).

The Meyer Center — an organization that aims to support children with disabilities from birth through second grade — celebrates 70 years of service in the community this year.
