City Council revised its noise ordinance after receiving ongoing complaints. The new ordinance states that if noise “substantially interferes with the comfortable enjoyment of persons of ordinary sensibilities,” a violation has occurred. This change will give police additional tools to aid in a quieter downtown experience.

A 15-acre, small-scale industrial park with modular tenant spaces is planned near Inland Port Greer at 311 Genoble Rd.
