Comfort food with “culinary twists” is hitting the menu at The Bellwether Public House

The Bellwether Public House, located next to Fluor Field on Main Street, opened in April for the Greenville Drive’s first homestand. Now, in time for the last homestand of 2023, the restaurant will reopen Thursday, Aug. 31 with a new menu by Urban Wren’s Executive Chef Taylor Montgomery.
Chef Taylor’s new menu is “familiar” with comfort food you look forward to when catching a game at a pub, but it also offers “a bit of an adventure.”
“Our aim is to present a menu with options that captures the essence of a public house while introducing subtle culinary twists that intrigue the palate,” Chef Taylor explains.
What’s new?

Just in time for football season, you’ll find a full lineup of new gameday-favorite handhelds (read: burgers, dogs, chicken, and other sandwiches). We’ve got our eye on the Bellwether Burger with ale-braised onions, bacon, pickles, white cheddar, and garlic mayo.
Nothing says “familiar” like these classic comfort foods. Enter: the Cast Iron Meatloaf Sandwich, Camp Fire Steak Tips, and a Brasstown Beef Fried Bologna Sando.

Looking for shareables? Left Field Nachos and Loaded Spuds are hitting the menu. These aren’t your ordinary nachos and cheese fries. Coming out of left field, it’s fried eggroll wrappers with cheese drizz, pulled pork, avocado, sesame-ginger, slaw, hot honey bbq, cilantro, and scallion. As for those spuds, get ready for three-cheese melt, applewood bacon, chorizo sausage, horsey sour cream, and green onions.
If you’re looking to finish with something sweet, we’re jonesing for the new Boston Crème Cheesecake, made with cookie crust, vanilla bean pastry cream, and chocolate. It’s one of three new desserts hitting the menu.
Pro tip: Pair your dish with one of the 35+ beer options or a seasonal craft cocktail.
Drop in for a taste, no reservations required, Tuesday -Thursday 4.-9 p.m., Friday 4-10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. + Sunday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
