You don’t have to look far in Greenville to find tons of creative makers — now imagine all the talent that’s scattered throughout the South. Friday, Sept. 15 + Saturday, Sept. 16, 115+ artisans from all over the region will come together in one place at the Indie Craft Parade.

The must-know

Where? | Timmons Arena at Furman University, 3300 Poinsett Hwy.

When? | Friday, Sept. 15 from 6-9 p.m. + Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

How much? | $25 for the Friday “First Dibs” party (keep reading for more details) + $8 for Saturday general admission at the door — kids 16 and under are free on Saturday but need their own ticket on Friday.

  • The next time you drive on I-85 North you’ll notice a shift in traffic with the ramp to Pelham Road across a new section of the bridge. In the next month, contractors will widen the pavement to eventually place all northbound traffic on the second stage of the new bridge. (WYFF 4)

  • Jordon Development Company will develop two historic properties near County Square — the former Manigault House event space + the former Law Office of Theo Mitchell. Owner James Jordon hasn’t announced what’s coming but says he plans to honor the former businesses by incorporating their names into the projects. (WYFF 4)

  • Daydrinkers Coffee Shop will open for business Saturday, Aug. 26 at 2903 Old Buncome Rd. (next to Velo Valets and Makers Collective). Stop by for a sip Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Greenville artist Traci Wright Martin’s work will be included in the Lunar Codex’s Polaris Collection capsule launch to the moon in late 2024. The collection features work of 30,000+ artists, writers, musicians, and filmmakers from 158 countries, which is totally out of this world. (Greenville Journal)

  • Roper Mountain Science Center’s Summer Adventure may be over, but that means Afternoon Explorations is back. Explore what will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. starting Thursday, Sept. 14.
