• Greenville’s Design Review Board approved improvements to the Prisma Health offices on East McBee Avenue including removal of the drive-thru lanes and pedestrian bridge to make way for a staircase. Other changes include an expanded plaza, gardens on the southeast side, and a plaza with outdoor dining at the northeast entry.

• Gower Park — located at 24 Evelyn Ave. — is closed for the rest of 2023 as it breaks ground on $1.4 million of improvements. When the park reopens in January 2024, you’ll see three new tennis courts, two new basketball courts, and 10 new pickleball courts.

• What’s poppin’? Boba Ocha Tea Company is opening this month in Fountain Inn. Serving up bubble tea and waffles, you can sneak a peek at the menu + follow its Instagram to be the first to know the opening date.

• Did you know less than 0.002% of breweries are Certified B Corporations? Read: They’re assessed for their positive impact on workers, communities, customers, suppliers, and the environment. Liability Brewing Co. is one of 18 certified breweries nationwide — the only one in SC — and was featured in Forbes.

• While we’re talking about Liability Brewing Co., it’s teaming up with Woodside Bistro for a four-course beer dinner, pairing local craft brews with a to-be-announced menu.

• Travelers Rest landed on World Atlas’ list of the “10 best small towns to visit in South Carolina.” Lauding the city’s “big heart rooted in southern hospitality and charm,” the list shouted out TR’s proximity to the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail + its Main Street filled with eclectic shops, local eateries, and breweries.
