Do you hear that? It’s the sounds of brackets all over America busting as the Furman Paladins advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the second time in history.
The No. 13 seed, Furman, defeated the No. 4 seed, Virginia, 68-67 in a thrilling first round March Madness appearance.
After the win in the second game of the tournament, only 10.67% of brackets remained perfect. We’re guessing a lot of those were here in Greenville.
From watch parties at Furman and Yee Haw Brewing in Greenville and the fans painting Orlando purple, the Dins were loud and proud as they cheered on their team in its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1980.
Up next? The Dins take on the San Diego State Aztecs tomorrow, Saturday, March 18.
