The free event, happening tomorrow (Fri., Nov. 18) from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Greenville ONE Center, will explore Greenville’s rapidly growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, and feature special guests including author and Entrepreneur Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jason Feifer and NEXT Upstate Executive Director Eric Weissmann.
Attendees will hear from Weissmann about the current state of Greenville’s biz economy, followed by Feifer who will share how each of us can “build for tomorrow” in our businesses and careers. Bryan Davis, executive director at The Hill Institute at Furman University, will lead a fireside chat with Feifer about how Greenville canfuture-proof its entrepreneurial ecosystem, with special guests:

The City of Greenville adopted an economic development strategic plan, identifying seven goals for sustainable “growth and prosperity.” Some key points in the plan? Addressing housing affordability and transportation. Read all seven goals.

The historic Borden Ice Cream headquarters building (711 W. Washington St., near Unity Park) will open in early 2023 as a mixed-use space. The 40,000-sqft building will feature commercial tenants that haven’t been announced yet. (Upstate Business Journal)

Nominations opened this week for the fourth annual Upstate Music Awards, an annual celebration of Upstate-based musicians + artists that perform and record original music.
Like the music awards shows you watch on TV, the producers, studio engineers, photographers, videographers, and visual artists who work with them will also be recognized.
All contestants must live and work within the 864 area code + they must perform 75% or more original material to participate.
Keep these important dates in mind as you support your favorite Upstate musicians:
