• Visual Comfort & Co. — a designer + architectural lighting and ceiling fan company — will invest $62 million in distribution operations in Spartanburg County. The new facility at Smith Farms Industrial Park (7900-8200 Reidville Rd., Greer) will create 125 jobs over the next five years.

• $26 million. That’s how much Motor City Racks — an automotive and industrial racking products supplier — is investing in Laurens County, creating 88 jobs. The new facility (366 Old Airport Rd.) is the company’s second in SC. The other is in Cherokee County. (Upstate Business Journal)

• Veterans Day, a federal holiday commemorating people who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Expect various closures related to the holiday, and help honor our military personnel by attending a celebration at County Square (301 University Ridge) at 11 a.m. 🇺🇲

• Local Girl Scout Troop 1967 helped Bethel United Methodist Church research unmarked graves and discovered 12+ burial sites of enslaved people. Now, the troop is working to identify the people buried at the church + raise money for a new marker at the site. (WYFF 4)
