We’re getting straight to the meat of this guide’s topic. You guessed it — meat, (plus seafood, sides, and more). We recently asked about your favorite butcher shops + meat markets in the area, and you served up quite a few options.

Here are seven butcher shops to try in and around Greenville, plus some honorable mentions.

Revival Butchery
1296 A Pendleton St. | Tues-Fri., 8 a.m.-6 p.m. + Sat., 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This Village of West Greenville’s “purveyor of special meats” offers a selection of rotating meats, including stuffed pork chops, bacon wrapped steak, 25+ different types of sausage, all made in house, and brisket burgers that reader Jenni S. says are “out of this world.”

Hooked Meat and Seafood Market
1320 Stallings Rd. | Tues.-Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Backed by 36+ years of experience, this family-owned shop offers a variety of fresh, cut meats like poultry + lamb, seafood, and gourmet to-go dishes like crab-stuffed mushrooms and lobster mac ‘n cheese.

New York Butcher Shoppe
Multiple locations | Hours vary
Located off Augusta, Pelham, and Woodruff roads + in Simpsonville, this shop not only has meat options like certified angus beef, but you’ll also find assorted wines, cocktail mixers, and prepared foods (think: twice baked potatoes).

Block and Barley Market
624 Poinsett Hwy. | Wed.-Fri., 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Sat., 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sun., 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
If you can smell the smoke, you’re in the right place — enjoy a beer + some smoked barbecue on the patio for lunch and leave with freshly cut steaks, sides, and wine for dinner.
