United Way of Greenville County established an emergency relief fund where 100% of donations go to Greenville County nonprofits and families struggling after the storm.

You can sponsor a box of Scout’s Doughnuts to be donated to emergency responders and linemen.

N.O.A.H. (Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing) Property Management is asking for donations to support temporary rent relief, essential items, and medical assistance for Greenvillains who rely on affordable housing.

euphoria is collecting Venmo donations and 100% of the funds will be used to feed people in need across the Upstate and Western NC.

The Southern Smoke Foundation — a friend of the euphoria festival — provides emergency relief to hospitality workers. You can donate to support their efforts, which benefit our local industry workers.

Miracle Hill Ministries needs help at its shelters that still don’t have power.It’s looking for generators, propane, batteries (AA and AAA), flashlights, bottled water, dry food, and pre-cooked meat.

The Salvation Army’s Upstate locations are in need of clothing donations. It plans to give out vouchers to residents that can be redeemed for clothes + home goods. Find a location near you.

Universal Joint Greenville is collecting supplies to send to its Universal Joint location in Asheville to distribute to the Western NC community.

United Ministries needs “pop-top food items” (think: things that don’t need a can opener) dropped off at 606 Pendleton St. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 by 12 p.m. for distribution to begin at 1 p.m.

The Upper State Apartment Association is collecting supplies for Western NC from now until Friday, Oct. 11 — see what they need.

Dog Culture is collecting pet supplies like food, animal crates, clean blankets + bedding, clean towels, treats, pet toys, food bowls, cat litter, paper towels, bleach, and laundry detergent.

Volunteer

Bike Walk Greenville is looking for volunteers with safe access to the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail to pull back brush — DM them for details.

Conestee Nature Preserve needs volunteers to help with clean up. All slots were full as we typed this, but they say they will post more opportunities soon.

Homes of Hope is looking for volunteers with experience clearing brush with chainsaws to help with 25 damaged properties — fill out an interest form.

Foster an animal from Greenville Humane Society (GHS). They are working with Greenville Animal Care to take in their animals as GHS kennels are cleared, so fostering from GHS helps both local shelters.

Blood drives

The Blood Connection says the storm impacted its blood supply and donations are urgently needed — find a list of donation centers.

American Red Cross is also collecting blood across Greenville county — find a local blood drive.
