New to Greenville — thanks to our newly-granted “Zoom Town” status? We’re glad you’re here. 🤝

Meet John, a Salesforce solution architect who was born and raised in Milwaukee and couldn’t stand another winter. Between Covid and a fully remote job, he had an opportunity to make a big change.

His first instinct was to head west, but then he remembered a former coworker who had moved to a growing city in SC and was always raving about it. He came to visit this so-called oasis and decided it was the perfect size + environment for him. After packing everything he owned in his hatchback, John drove the 13 hours to his new apartment in downtown Greenville.

In his words: “I walk to work every day (to my desk at Endeavor, right in ONE City Plaza) and I love to just walk around and explore. Over half my team has moved since the pandemic: many to Florida, one to North Carolina, a lot to the Southeast.”

More advice from new Endeavor members:

Endeavor has welcomed members who, believe it or not, come from chillier places than Milwaukee — like Alaska. Meet Rob, a project director and consultant who relocated to Greenville to pursue diverse business opportunities in a booming market.

Here’s how coworking helped his transition to the Southeast: “I really like the workspace and environment at Endeavor. It’s super convenient, clean, quiet, safe, accommodating, very functional, and comfortable — and I love the gym space. The staff is great too. Their ‘Southern Charm’ is absolutely delightful: fantastic, warm, and welcoming.”

Greenville also offers a robust job market for recent grads. Meet Anna, a Clemson 2020 grad who quarantined at home in northern Virginia, job searching + granola-making. Through professional and academic connections made at Clemson’s Erwin Center, Anna landed an opportunity to begin her marketing career in Greenville’s thriving creative scene.

In her words: “I live in a studio apartment downtown, which I love, and I’ve started to ride my bike everywhere this summer (so European, right?). I meet impressive professionals with wisdom to share daily at Endeavor, and I meet other rad people from scoping out the best brewery/taco pop-ups and community yoga classes I read about in GVLtoday. My top rule is to never be afraid to go out alone!”
