Windsor Aughtry Company confirmed last week that it’s bringing O-Ku Sushi + Indaco Italian Food & Wine to the space currently occupied by Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood, along with Charleston’s Indigo Road Hospitality Group.

Windsor Aughtry Company is very excited about partnering with the Indigo Road Hospitality Group to bring O-Ku, Indaco, and an outdoor bar venue to the Main and Broad restaurant space. There’s still a great deal of work to be done, and we will have full details coming Q1 2022.” said Kirk Crawford, Asset Manager and Developer for Windsor Aughtry Company.

Though we won’t have specifics until January, we do know that the current 7,600-sqft space at Main Street and Broad Street will be divided to accommodate the two restaurants.

Indaco, with locations in Charleston and Charlotte, specializes in rustic Italian cuisine, with menu items like Ziti alla Buttera — featuring house made pasta with Keegan pork sausage ragu, San Marzano tomato, cream, peas, basil + parmesan (okay, we’re drooling). 🍝

O-Ku, with seven locations across the southeast from Jacksonville Beach to Washington, D.C., serves up authentic Asian cuisine with a “southern approach.” One sushi roll on its Charleston menu has our interest piqued: the Surf & Turf, with Wagyu beef, tempura shrimp, avocado, microgreens, potato crisps, and a balsamic reduction (you had us at Wagyu). 🍣

Where is Rick Erwin’s Nantucket going? And what about Ice On Main?

Ice On Main update, Jan. 10

As of Jan.10, we’re not sure what the fate is of Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood, but we do know that there are no plans for Ice On Main to end.

Kirk Crawford, Asset Manager and Developer for Windsor Aughtry Company let us know that its team has, “been working alongside the [City of Greenville Parks, Recreation, and Tourism] Department to keep Ice On Main at the [email protected] Development. After much study, we have concluded that there is enough space on the Plaza to accommodate both our new outdoor venue and the ice-skating rink.”

Kirk also let us know that the “new venue will enhance Ice On Main,” and plans to provide the winter feature with amenities like lounge seating + a fireplace and hot chocolate, among other things.

Details are still in the works, but Windsor Aughtry Company is “confident that Ice On Main is here to stay,” said Kirk.

“We have been fortunate in having the ability to provide a home for the ice-skating rink for the past 12 years, and we hope to continue to host Ice on Main for many years to come.”
