One such destination is Beaufort, SC, the second oldest city in SC (just a ~3.5-hour drive away). Beaufort was recently named one of the “11 Best Small Towns in America” by Travel + Leisure and has been voted the “South’s Best Small Town” by Southern Living, and for good reason — the historic downtown is coastal, scenic, and easily walkable, ft. small streets lined with oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss. Earlier we told you about Clare’s Creamery opening up a brick + mortar location in the Overbrook neighborhood this spring. Well, Clare’s will be at their new storefront (at 1635 E. North St.) this Saturday from 3-5 p.m. serving scoops. You can either pre-ordersome ice cream for pick-up, or they’ll have their cart stocked for walk-up purchases as well.
