Happy New Year, GVL. We’re partnering with Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty in 2023 to help educate you on our local real estate market and, of course, share the homes we’re swooning over.

To kick things off, we’re taking a look back at five lessons Joan Herlong has learned over her time as a local real estate expert, mentor, and leader, from Joan herself:
  1. Consistency is key — you don’t build off of your highs.
  2. If your gut says no, listen to it.
  3. Celebrate your victories.
  4. Sink or swim situations aren’t that hard if you take time to learn how to swim.
  5. I would have been a great soccer goalie. Just kidding.*
