Christ Church Episcopal School is seeking exceptional candidates for the role of a Part-time Lower School Discovery (science) Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. We offer a dynamic and engaging learning environment that seeks to develop basic skills and critical thinking skills in all of our students. We focus on student-centered instruction designed to engage students through a rigorous program that is implemented by a collaborative faculty.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree. Strong preference will be given to candidates with several years of experience in elementary grades (K-4). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for hand-on science instruction, excellent written and verbal communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues and embrace the lifestyle of working in a dynamic independent school. Candidates must be willing to assume multiple roles, model excellence in job performance, be a team player, possess intrinsic motivation, and demonstrate a desire to provide innovative and engaging lessons.
