This position will report to the VP of Commercial Services and will be responsible for monitoring and managing the credit risk of loans within the Commercial loan portfolio. Key responsibilities include ensuring sound underwriting principles and guidelines are maintained; performing annual reviews of each relationship; and underwrite loan requests within the parameters of the policies. Additionally, this person will partner with the commercial lender on new loan requests and deepening relationships on existing clients.
Qualified candidates should possess at least four – six years of similar or related experience in credit risk analysis, commercial underwriting, commercial banking, and education equivalent to four years of college or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study.
Candidates should also possess analytical and critical thinking skills; the ability to communicate with internal and external members in a clear, concise, and professional manner with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, project management and Outlook software; possess ability to think creatively, independently and accept responsibility; track record for working with and maintaining confidential and sensitive member information; and, proven ability to multitask and deliver on commitments in a highly results-oriented environment.
Familiarity with the entire commercial loan process; formal credit analysis training from a recognized credit union or banking school; and, a professional presence and ability to comfortably partner with potential clients, members and the Credit Union Service Organization.
