Any parents ready to send the little ones back to school yet? It’s ok. We won’t judge if you said (read *screamed*) “yes.”  A reader wrote to us asking for local resources + online activities to help supplement the kiddos’ homeschooling, e-learning, and general entertainment needs. We’ve done our best to round up some options, but let us know if we’ve missed anything. 

 

STEM activities 

🐢 Visit the S.C. Aquarium virtually on Facebook weekdays at 10 a.m. The aquarium is also hosting a virtual spring break eventVirtual Passport to Fun.

🦒 Take a walk on the wild side with The Greenville Zoo’s famous Giraffe Cam. Don’t miss Kiden’s virtual going away party on Facebook live on April 15.

✏️ Help your baby Einstein learn with Ivybrook Academy’s STEM (+ reading/writing) lessons for children ages 2-5.

🧪 Become a mad scientist with Roper Mountain Science Center’s science (and social studies) lessons for elementary + middle school students.

📚 Sign up for a library e-card from the Greenville County Library System + unlock their digital resources.

📜 Learn about the tremendous history behind the Underground Railroad with the Upcountry History Museum. More eLearnings will be added in May.

🎭 Read the books that inspired the upcoming season at the South Carolina’s Children’s Theatre
