Culinary aficionados and aspiring chefs of the Upstate can now turn their cooking dreams into a career at Greenville Technical College’s Truist Culinary and Hospitality Innovation (CHI) Center, the brand new culinary arts facility in West Greenville at POE WEST.

CHI is a neighborhood-based venue delivering education, personal interest courses, business leasing space + job training in the heart of the community.

The new, 12,000-sqft. state-of-the-art facility boasts 5 kitchens (including a teaching kitchen for hands-on training + a studio kitchen for demonstration and tasting classes), a service and mixology lab, two fully-equipped classrooms, an ice-carving room and high-end tools of the trade, such as programmable combination ovens + blast chillers.

Some of the programming at CHI includes two Quick Jobs entry-level industry training courses taught in two weeks or less: Basic Service Skills and Basic Cooking Skills. The programming is flexible, with ~20% of the courses offered on evenings + weekends. Quick Jobs programs can create a pathway to the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas.
