The Greenville Liberty, Greenville’s new women’s soccer team, kicks off their inaugural home opener at Triumph Stadium at Legacy Early College (900 Woodside Ave.) this Fri., May 20 at 7 p.m. against the NC Courage U23

Who to watch

The club’s roster features a mix of current + former collegiate soccer players and elite youth playersWhat do four of the team’s players have in common? They scored the first goals this season.

  • Carly Thatcher | Forward
    The Greer native and Riverside High School alumnae plays collegiate soccer at Auburn University.
  • Dubem Dike | Forward
    The Greenville Tech Charter player signed with Wake Forest. Fun fact: She’s one of three local high school players who made the team at an open tryout in January.
  • Anna Grace Abrams | Midfielder
    Anna Grace plays at Bob Jones University + started in 21 out of 22 matches for BJU last season.
  • Megan Bornkamp | Defender
    Megan is going into her junior year at Clemson and earned Third Team All-American + First Team All-ACC honors last season for her work on the field for the Tigers.
