Contrary to popular belief, Grace + I don’t know everything there is to know about our favorite city of Greenville.

For those of you who just dropped your phone out of pure shock, pick it back up, and get ready, because we have a #ProTip for you.

About a month ago, a reader named Neil S. wrote to us and told us about Greenville Cares“a one-stop customer service center where citizens can get information about city programs, services and events; report an issue or submit a city service request.”

We checked it out, and we’re here to tell you, go to your contacts right now, “Add New,” and save this phone number – 864-232-CARE (864-232-2273). With Greenville Cares, live telephone assistance (yes, a real live person) is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

And you can just pick up the phone and call them about any questions you may have about the City of Greenville. Well….any questions within reason.

Don’t know where your go-to recycling bins have been moved to? Wondering if the City is going to put up a Christmas tree this year? (Spoiler Alert: They already did.) Need to know about your local noise ordinance or the city’s tree preservation and protection ordinance? Greenville Cares will do their best to steer you in the right direction. (Here’s an overview of some of the FAQs Greenville Cares received in 2018.)

If you’d prefer, there’s also an online service request form or you can send your requests to cares@greenvillesc.gov. Now, of course, you can still keep emailing us with your questions, but Greenville Cares is there to help you too.

So, pass this new information along like a good ole’ fashioned game of telephone.
