Disclaimer: This story was shared Aug. 6, 2020. We’re lucky to have a craft brewery scene that’s grown quite a bit since then.

Happy International Beer Day, GVL. 🍻 Greenville’s craft beer scene has continued to grow over the last few years and we can’t say we’re complaining.

To help you get in the mood to celebrate, we put together a list of some of our local breweries.

Henry McMaster’s orders, restaurants + bars are now required to follow the AccelerateSC guidelines. Guidelines include: six foot spacing between tables, no standing or congregating in bar areas, maximum parties of eight people, + mask requirements for employees and customers. 🍺 Liability Brewing Company, 109 W. Stone Ave., Ste. D

A dog-friendly brewery right next door to Moe’s Original BBQ + World Piece, so you can easily have good beer and good food.

ICYMI, Liability Brewing is one of three local breweries (including Birds Fly South + Fireforge Crafted Beer) currently brewing the Black is Beautiful beer. You can read more about that here.

🍺 Birds Fly South Ale Project, 1320 Hampton Ave.

A craft brewery located in Hampton station which, according to their website, is “rooted in family.”

🍺 Brewery 85, 6 Whitlee Ct.

Brewery 85’s owners, Will and his wife Meredith, started home brewing beer in college at Clemson. Then, Will headed out for beer college a.k.a Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany and the World Brewing Academy in Chicago. How’s that for an education?

🍺 Fireforge Crafted Beer, 311 E. Washington St.

Their website reads: “We started Fireforge to create the greatest beer drinking experience in the world.” You can stop by their brewery + tasting room to experience it for yourself.

🍺 Thomas Creek Brewery, 2054 Piedmont Hwy.

Thomas Creek Brewery has been family owned since 1998 + brewing handcrafted beers with our area’s exceptional Blue Ridge Mountain water.

🍺 The Southern Growl, 155 N. Buncombe Rd., Greer
This Greer brewery + restaurant recently moved into their new 4.5 acre facility to offer even more great food and good beer.

🍺 Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant, 741 Haywood Rd.

Iron Hill sits by Haywood Mall next to Barnes & Noble, and they have a new menu.

🍺 The Eighth State Brewing Company, 400 Augusta St.
Currently offering outdoor dining for food, wine, and reserve beer (plus tiki cocktails and reserve bourbon) in addition to online to-go options. You can browse their beers here.

🍺 Yee-Haw Brewing Company, 307 E. McBee Ave., Ste. C

A taproom, brewery + restaurant. Plus, they recently installed this big screen on their lawn which we are pretty excited about.

🍺 Tetrad Brewing Company, 603 E. Stone Ave.

The new small batch craft brewery has been operating in Greenville for 10.5 months now, and accompanies Half Moon Outfitters in their Stone Ave. space.

🍺 13 Stripes Brewery, 250 Mill St., Ste. PW3101, Taylors

13 Stripes is located in Taylors Mill and neighbors Tacos & Mas. Because what’s better than tacos and beer?

🍺 Carolina Bauernhaus Greenville, 556 Perry Ave., Ste. B118

Brand new to the Village of West Greenville, this is Carolina Bauernhaus’ second upstate location. Their first location is in Anderson.

🍺 Swamp Rabbit Brewery & Taproom, 26 S. Main St., Travelers Rest

Swamp Rabbit Brewery & Taproom has been serving brews in Travelers Rest since 2014.

🍺 Blue Ridge Brewing Company, 308 Trade St., Greer

This Greer brewery has been locally owned since 1995.
